These are the lovely people this blog is going to begin with: Matthew and Amy Nelson. They came over from England/Ireland, did quite a bit of interesting things and had a lot of kids. Their story is really quite exciting and I wish I had a better picture, but all will come in due time. Probably tomorrow.
Please forgive the quality of the picture. It's a scan of a copy from a family history done by my second cousin. I will be relying quite heavily on that history, as well as letters I've discovered. Hopefully family members might speak up in the comments section, or I'll be able to get an interview or two (or converse through email) later.
